SCAN IPv4 (scanip4 v1.02)
Overview ^
Similar to a ping, but all addresses in the LAN are searched and displayed.
Automatic Network Detection: The program automatically identifies the local network segment. Entering an IP range is not necessary.
ARP Scan: An ARP broadcast is sent to all devices in the network. Every active device responds to this ARP request, providing its IP and MAC address.
Hostname Detection: In addition to IP and MAC addresses, the hostname of the device is retrieved using the socket library, if possible.
Recurring Scans: The network scan runs in a loop, regularly displaying all new and active devices in the network.
Start from the Command Prompt:
sudo ./scanip4
Simple Termination: The scan can be stopped by pressing the Enter key.
